8th Grade Class Visit

Dr. Chavez will be visiting your 8th grade classes on Thursday, February 17 to review the registration process and answer any questions you may have as you prepare for AHS. Packets will be distributed. Live links will be added to our website under Students: 8th Graders. Fremont website

Course Selection

The window to register for your 9th grade courses opens from February 28-March 11. Please select your courses in Powerschool BEFORE you meet with the AHS counselor.  See handout for more details. Course Selection Guide

8th Grade Zoom Presentation

AHS will host a Zoom presentation (broadcasted in your class) on Tuesday, March 1st from 11:45-12:30. This will take a few minutes from your PE class. Counselors will present AHS programs and extracurricular opportunities.  There will be a Q&A session at the end. 

Moor Q&A

You may submit questions for the Zoom presentation.  Each student may submit up to 3 questions. Moors Q&A 

8th Grade Showcase at AHS

We are excited to take a field trip to AHS! We will be taking a school bus to AHS on Friday, March 4th from 9-11 am.  We will board the bus by 8:15 am. You must have a signed permission slip to attend. 

8th Grade Parent Night for AHS

AHS will host an 8th grade parent night on Tuesday, March 8th at 6pm (via Zoom). Please see Parent Night Flier

1:1 AHS Counselor Visits

Every 8th grade student will be meeting with an AHS counselor in a 1:1 meeting to review student course selections on Thursday, March 17 in I-38 (please note, this date is tentative and subject to change).
